Location: Vanzant, Missouri | I noticed this past weekend that my batteries on my LQ weren't charging when enroute. After I got to my campsite and plugged into shore power they were fine. Left, came home when I stopped to dump it and wanted to run some water into the toilet and had no power for the pump.Any suggestions? |

Location: western PA | Your shore power should have charged the batteries during your stay, even if the truck didn't en route. Your 12v appliances were running off the converter when you had shore power. You either have something that is rapidly discharging your batteries, the wiring from your batteries has failed or your batteries are shot. When was the electrolyte last checked? You can check your batteries with a meter to determine if they are charged, and if you might then have a wiring fault. You can put a meter in series with the B+ hot wire to see if there is any discharge when your master switch is off. If there is no current flow, take the batteries to a shop where they can be tested. They may have to be swapped out.

Location: Vanzant, Missouri | The only thing that was recently done was the fridge was replaced. I just finally got it out this past weekend. So I'll have to check the battery fluid and call the guy I bought it from and see when he replaced them. He told me but I have senilty moments at times. Be my luck it will need new ones Any suggestions on a good brand? I have 2 on it. Again Gard your Da Man for info Thx |

Location: Florida | Is your new Fridge a three way? If so it may be looking for 12v power all the time to run the control system. I am not sure of when 12v is called for to cool you may want to review the manuals. Also check to see if your moisture control switch is in the on position. I agree that you should check the health of your batteries. When I plug into shore power for a weekend I shut my battery switch off. I would rather not have the 12v in the loop. |

Location: Vanzant, Missouri | No my new fridge is a 2 way. I'm leaning towards the batteries also. Just BAD timing. Fridge was just replaces last month and I'm just a poor single working girl. Been a bad month new fridge, truck maintenance/ins,farrier, and now most likely new batteries. Next the truck will probably need them, going on 3yrs.. Man oh man my mental therapy is getting expensive... |
