Safety on trailer jack?

I had occasion this weekend to wonder if there is some kind of safety mechanism on the trailer jack to prevent you from raising it too high? Or will the leg fall out if you keep going?

Electric or manuel? Well it really does not matter, most should have a stop or a bottom out point. Same as when you have the trailer on the truck and you crank it up to drive, you crank it up till it stops, same way with rasing the trailer, the jack will only go so far then stops.

Be careful, the jack won't completely unwind but if run against the stop it can break the gear or the motor mount or the bolt in the shaft, or (or so one). You see my idea here.
