Location: missouri | We are running over to LBL mid month... thought since we would be a few hours from Big South Fork or somewhere, we would head over that way... What are some of your favorite camps and trails? and why? |

Location: Gallatin, TN | We like East Fork Stables. There are many many miles of trails, the sites are well maintained as are the stalls. |

Location: Indiana | East Fork is very nice-- very big campground. Near there is Saddle Valley-- smaller more "personal" camp ground-- Ed & Theresa are very nice -- |

Location: Owensboro, Kentucky | We go the Bandy Creek in BSF two times every year. Bandy is the most centrally located for trail access without trailering. BSF is great riding and the scenery is great. We ride each visit to Chariot Creek, Eye of the Needle, Twin Arches and the O & W Overlook, and the scenery never gets old to us. We also ride alot at LBL, but frankly the scenery does not compare to Southfork. We also like Bandy Creek Campground it is clean (a Class A Campground where the horses are not allowed), and the stables are located just across the street. This keeps the campground very clean with no flies, and the Stables are very secure and our horses seem very content after a long day of riding. Your horses will need to be in good shape for BSF because most trails are long with significant elevation changes. If you plan on going down in October, you may be out of luck because I think the stables and campground are full for most of the month. |

Location: KY | Both are near Allardt, TN, and both have websites. We ride twh and ssh. You might also want to look at www.nps.gov then go to Big South Fork and look at horse camps.
