The Stratus trailers are one of the very best buys in an aluminum trailer on the market today.  The Structure of the trailer is quite strong.  Look at the neck structure and the bottom rail.  It is built very well.  The living quarters are more basic than a lot of the real fancy hardwood models that are offered by some conversion companies.  Most buyers are OK with the interirors in a Stratus; unless the want a lot of custom items.  The Bison Coach Stratus offers several interior choices, but very little customization.  Why?  It adds to the price and it slows down production lines.  I own a Bison Stratus Express; but I also sell trailers for a living.  We handle several brands of trailers; with a couple of brands costing about twice what a Stratus model does.  I wouldn't be afraid of going with a Stratus for weekend outings.  Put a seven year extended warranty on the unit; and your ready to go !!

Thanks for your reply. We don't really need fancy LQ just something we can sleep in and feel safe and the horses can feel safe

Jim Bob, who would warranty the Bison?...didn't they go bankrupt? I may have bad information but I have friends who have a Bison Stratus that is only 2 years old and now they have no one to cover the original warranty. At least that is what I was told.

You might want to consider Trail Rider Horse Trailers.

They are also very well built and you get alot of trailer for your money.

Check them out at http://www.factorydirecthorsetrailers.com/

thanks for all the threads. I actually thought another company had bought them out. Maybe I was wrong.

Do you know anything about the Shadows? We really like them more so than the stratus.
