Replaced tires with same tires, Goodyear Wrangler lt235/85r16 HT on my 4 star 3 horse gooseneck. Made a 700 mile trip. Checked my tires and had a few indentions , no concern. Then I noticed bulges on every tire and some have several, CONCERN. Has anyone had this problem with this tire or any other? Also, what could cause this? Tks. The tires I replaced were 4 years old and never had a problem.

Radials do have an indentation? or slight bulge where they are made and seamed.

I took them back to place of purchase and the dealer said this was not good. They are ordering another set to replace these. I have a smaller metal trailer and have not seen this or on the tires I replaced on my 4 star. Just wanted to make sure down the road this will not create a problem or should I look for another brand or try to upgrade.I failed to mention my trailer is a 11 ft  living quarters. I do not know if the weight will make a difference.

The load rating is important for weight limit. You didn't mention what they are rated at.

From the sticker on my trailer. Weight 15,450. Tires recom. 235 85r 16 E. The bulges had me concerned and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I had the same tires, same problem, after the second blow out, I went to load range "G"  My trailer loaded is in the 15,500 pound range as well.  Have not had any trouble since. Trailer is a little more bouncey with no horses on.

With Pauls specs it looks like those tires are not rated to carry that much weight.

I am tire shopping too!!  Went the inexpensive route and bought the Chinese 14ply a year ago, and let me tell you, I'm a tire changin mo-fo!!! LOL  The savior was the electric impact wrench my husband bought at a garage sale for me!! When my girlfriend went w/me a couple weeks ago, and we did a 1100mi r/t, we changed 2 on the way there, and 2 on the way home.  She sd, it was the easiest changing she's ever done, didn't even break a sweat!! LOL

My trailer is about 12,100lbs empty, so I was considering the Goodyear G614, which is their 14ply, but some people also suggested the Michilen XPS, but that is a E/10ply isn't it?

Another question, on rims. How do you tell? They do have the heavy duty metal valve stems.
