Location: cental Illinois | I have a Hawk Classic 2007 trailer. Several of the running lights on top are not working, 2 on the sides are not working. I have searched the internet, trailer supply stores locally, farm equipment stores locally and no one has this particular light.
I called the place where I purchased the trailer which is a bit over an hours drive....she wants $11/light...plus shipping??? That seems high to me.
They are 3and15/16" long x a bit over an 1". Some are amber, 2 are 1/2 amber 1/2 red and some are solid red. They are sealed and have 2 prongs in the center. Hawk doesn't have a parts site I have to contact a Hawk dealer and none are close to me.
Cant a girl just find this type light somewhere............. 16 |

Location: Rocky Mount N.C. | Are they LED's or incandescant..? Light may be OK, it may be a grounding issue with the fixture. Try swapping some of them around, try the sealed lamp in another fixture. Or test them with a 12 volt battery, a couple wires and a fuse.... If they are in fact bad, take it to the nearest truck stop, they have about any and every clearance light under the sun. If all else fails, contact Hawk direct, give them your serial number, a credit card number and watch for the UPS man in a couple days....? http://www.hawktrailers.com/contact.asp |

Right there is my biggest complain in horse trailers.
I'm working on a new one. All the outside markers stop/turn/tail are LED's. The clearance lights are LED's as well....do they run a separate ground wire? Ah, no...they ground to the body with a crimp on ring terminal. Has outside halogen floods...separate ground wire? Ah, no....crimp on ring terminal. Porch lights...the clip the ground wire off, grounds with the mounting screw. |

| I have been able to get all mine from Carquest Auto Parts. If you don't have one of those in your hood you might give these folks a try. Poke here: http://www.redneck-trailer.com/2009/J.htm |

| Hello - you can get the LED lights at Tractor Supply / Auto Zone and probably even WalMart - other wise give me a call 864 977 8009
If you remove the red or amber part of a light you will see a flat metal ground plate, usually if you tighten the ground screw the issue will be solved.
A few times I have found that if a ground goes the LED blows, check and see.

Location: cedar rapids iowa | 11.00 a light sound cheap and you won't be wasting your time and gas driving around. You don't get much for 11.00 any more. A small piece of trim on my truck was 60.00 LOL |

We bought the same lights (lens with 2 prongs) for $4 each at Tractor Supply. Try Redneck suppliers in springfield,MO (ditto on Rentento's post.)

Location: Coconut Creek, FL | last year when selling my 10 year old BP, the lights stopped working. I replaced the bulbs, still didn't work. I asked around on here, got several suggestions and what worked was sanding the contacts - I even put the old bulbs back in and gave the new owner the replacement bulbs. |

Location: cental Illinois | I want to thank everyone for all the help!!! What a wonderful site :)
I did a couple of things, I took the non functional lights off and put them on functional site and they all worked!! Aha clue #1
I called Hawk they said take a 1/4" ratchet and tighten ground screw on all.
When I did this all bulb sites worked and all lights were functional.....
So.... yes indeed it was a grounding issue not even the bulbs!!!
Seems like an issue that many have wonder why they don't change the design????
BTW,,, I looked at Tractor Supply, Big R, Rural King etc no one had these style lights????
Thanks everyone for your support
