Location: MI | I am new to trailering and know nothing.. I am in the middle of purchasing a 2 horse bumper pull and was wondering if anyone could help me with what I need as far as the whole braking system goes. I have some people telling me I have to install a brake system inside my truck (for stabalization) and others tell me I don't. I will be hauling with a Yukon. |

Location: MT | It would be a cold day in you know where if I had a trailer on with no brake system inside my vehicle. Whats the point of having breaks if you can't set them to do what you want. Just go down to your local trailer dealer and they should help you get set up. This is close to the one that I have in my vehicle. http://www.etrailer.com/pc-BC~39510.htm |

Location: North Jackson Ohio | I checked on the NATM web site and any trailer over the GVWR of #3,000 requires brakes on all wheels. If the trailer is required to have brakes and the trailer has electric brakes, you must have a working brake control in your tow Vehicle. You may contact our parts department at 1-800-455-1001 ext .135 for pricing and availability of the different types of brake controls we offer for sale. Clint Leonard Truck & Trailer Inc. |

Location: Arkansas | You do not, at all, wish to be pulling a horse trailer with out working brakes, by whatever means necessary. If that means putting a nice Prodigy III brake controller in your Yukon, then, without any hesitation, have it done. |
