Location: MI | I am new to trailering and know nothing.. I am in the middle of purchasing a 2 horse bumper pull and was wondering if anyone could help me with what I need as far as the whole braking system goes. I have some people telling me I have to install a brake system inside my truck (for stabalization) and others tell me I don't. I will be hauling with a Yukon. |

Location: MT | It would be a cold day in you know where if I had a trailer on with no brake system inside my vehicle. Whats the point of having breaks if you can't set them to do what you want. Location: North Jackson Ohio | I checked on the NATM web site and any trailer over the GVWR of #3,000 requires brakes on all wheels. If the trailer is required to have brakes and the trailer has electric brakes, you must have a working brake control in your tow Vehicle. Location: Arkansas | You do not, at all, wish to be pulling a horse trailer with out working brakes, by whatever means necessary. If that means putting a nice Prodigy III brake controller in your Yukon, then, without any hesitation, have it done. |
