We went to devil's den (near fayetteville, arkansas) last week... The trails are great (but pretty rocky), we found waterfalls and caves this trip that were unbelievable! Before we got there, we stopped in and camped at Huckleberry Ridge at Pineville (near Rick & Mary's), the riding was good there too, we had a tornado warning the last night there.. it really rocked our big trailer and scared even the fearless! so we loaded the horses so they would'nt get struck by lightening, brought in the dogs, and hunkered down for late evening... the trees around us were swaying violently, limbs broke, and stuff kept hitting the side of our trailer... next morning we took off for Devil's Den..to ride between rains. Be sure to take exit 53 off 540-I at West Fork if you plan a trip there... (they have hookups).

And, no kidding on taking the proper exit (northern most) as it is not possible to take a long trailer in or out at the Winslow exit.......

Glad y'all and Rick and Mary came through that weather ok!

It's been several years since I've been to Devils Den, can you still ride to moonshine cave, and curiosity bluffs, then the falls that are over by the bluffs? At one time the person who owned the land where the bluffs and water falls were, stopped riders from going to them.

Hey... we just came back from DDEN again. Yes, you can still ride to the moonshine cave and the falls as long as you do not trash it up. Pack in/pack out everything you cannot bury! We also went to Buffalo River Ranch again... trails were a little muddy and there is so much ice storm damage around the Low Gap area!! it is sad. Even with the hot weather, Devil's Den seemed bearable with a little breeze.

We went down to Devils Den last weekend, I didn't try to get to the falls this time since it was pretty warm out riding. But I plan on trying to find them next time. Had a good time and plan on going back sooner next time.

Hey Ridgegirl! We don't mind the trip down to Jasper, but we did mind trying to get down to Erbie on the cutt-off road and having to back up 3 miles again! It was flooded so horribly that some friends of ours from Kansas were stuck there for another day or two waiting for the low water bridges to be visable. We ended up going over to Jim's and riding pretty damaged trails. Hopefully, they will improve by the time fall riding comes around. Its way too hot for riding now, I'm riding the recliner!

We drove to the low water bridge toward the Erbie campground that weekend just to check it out.I told Don I'd NEVER take a trailer our size down there.Going in the truck was bad enough,it was so rough.

Don't you guys ever go in from Harrison on that road? Much better way, and, don't have to cross the low water bridge at all.
