Location: Rock Port MO | I have a 1985 Sundowner horse trailer with a small LQ. This trailer leaks when it rains. My hubby had tried to "patch" where we think it is leaking but that is just not working. He has decided we need to clean out all the seams and put new calk in. I would like to know what you all recommend to use to re calk with. Or any other ideas would be great. My plan is to trade this trailer in when I get my truck paid off (2.5 years) so I do not want to spend too much but I am tired of wet bedding Thanks Shannon Missouri |

Location: Edwards Ms | I had a 93 sundowner that I completed removed all the old caulk and recaulked with some stuff I got at an Exiss dealer. I am at work and forgot what the name of it is (sorry) but you might want to call a trailer dealer or an rv dealer and they will fix you up. Let me warn you it was a JOB. |

Location: New York | I just sealed the roof of my Exiss with a Self-leveling lap sealant that we bought from a local RV store. I did not remove the old stuff. I scrubed it clean with warm water and a little bleach to remove any grim and dirt build up, let it dry and then caulked it. Some spots needed a heavier coat then others. It took 4-10.3 fl oz tubes to do my 4 horse trail it is approx 30' long. The cost per tube was about $8.00. So $50.00 plus a good 1/2 day work and your good to go. |

| There is a sealing tape you can buy at the big box stores that is not too expensive and it works, It is about 8 inches wide and we just put it over the old seam and caulk, No leaks! Pat Moore |

Location: Illinois | I know at Lowes, it's called Peel and Seal. Clean the area first with a scratch pad or the like, then alcohol, then apply the tape. Be careful, when you put it down, it's stuck for good ood
