We finally got to use our new generator over the weekend.  Ran it for right at 8 hours on 1 tank of gas.  Did not use the power saver mode, so I could get a real time out of it.  Had the a/c set at 65 on med. all night long.

Did turn on the power save mode the next morning to see what I could use and not bog down the generator.  a/c on same setting as above, microwave, all lights, then with a hair dryer it bogged down just a little.

The trailer next to use had a Honda EU3000 and with a hand full of people around to give their opinion, the noise level was the same, but the Honda had to be filled up after 6 hours!

So, bottom line, this is a great generator!

Oh well> Got mine with about 40 hours on it for the price of a 2000eu. Lived this many years camping without a genset so I am sure we will survive with the 3000.

At rated load!  Just running the a/c and refrig. is nowhere near the rated load for this generator.  Therefor if you are not running at the "rated load" you will not be using as much fuel and when you use less fuel you will be able to run longer hours!

Would be the same as say a truck one person has a truck and stated they get 12mpg and the next perosn has the smae type truck and state they get 15mpg.  All come down to driving habbits.  For instance my truck will get 14.783mpg (avg 14.5 on 3 tanks) unloaded @ 75mph, but thursady I did a test and filled up then every chance I could I would set the cruise on 65mph and rechecked the mileage tonight and I am getting 16.946mpg, so by slowing down I gained over 2mpg and extended my fill up time.  So this goes the same for the generator run time, if I was to turn everything in the trailer on and run the generator @ full load I' sure it would only run 5.3 hours......
