Ok, 1st we need to place our 2-12 volt batteries in our LQ trailer. Any suggestions? 2nd - Since we bought the trailer a couple of years ago in never seemed to charge batteries well going down the road. Converter has been replaced. Any thing else we need to check?

Have you checked your "charge" line to make sure the trailer is getting charged from the truck? We recently had a trailer that had to have the charge line on the trailer plug disconnected or the brake lights on the o8 Ford continously stayed on. This was due to a backfeed from the elec/hydraulic trailer brakes.

Hopefully you are not relying on the charge from going down the road as your main source of charging. The charge from your alternator will not give you a full charge. I like to have my trailer plugged in to my garage outlet at least two days a week, or continiously when the fridge has food and/or beverages in it.

No, we plug it in when we are home and the lights get dim after about 1 hour when we stop (even the LED lights). If we use the rear load lights it they start to go dim after 5-10 min.
