What are some recommendations from you who have done this.. Can you just use silicone? and special type?

Use a polyurethane sealant/adhesive, silicone won't last

Try Dyco 20/20 seam seal.  We use it at all of our stores to seal roofs.  It works very well.

ok.. I went to the RV place to get an opinion on what to reseal my roof with.. here is a photo of what the roof looks like now..

They suggested using Dyco C-10 Flow seal.. its about $10.50 a tube down here.

So I picked up 5 tubes yesterday to be safe and have enough for my 3 horse trailer and put it on yesterday afternoon... and it is predicted to rain this weekend.. so we shall see how this turns out...

Last weekend I noticed that there were water stains inside the living qtr. over the bed and even the sheets had water marks.. Don't know if I left a window open after a run and didn't notice the wet area till it dried.. or if the roof was leaking..  Better safe than sorry so I resealed the roof...
