Location: Chapel Hill, NC | Please help with updating me on the quality of "affordable" LQ trailers. I've been a die-hard Featherlite purchaser for the past 20 years. Need to downsize - sell my 6-horse trainer's trailer which is awesome and purchase a 3 or 4 horse with simple LQ. Quality of construction and how these "newer" trailers pull is important to me. I don't want to sacrifice quality construction for fluff but am on a budget. What about Exiss? Shadow? Trail Rider? etc. THANKS! |

Location: Little town in Pa | I just bought a 3 horse, 6ft LQ Lakota brand new for under $40,000. Trailer has insulated roof in horse area, ranp on side and in back, mangers, 8ft wide, awning, furnace, AC, sink, cook top, seperate shower and toilet, flat screen TV, electric hydraulic jack, all aluminum. Went camping in it for the first time and it was a blast. Even when my husband's horse tried to climb the outside wall of the trailer, he didn't do any damage. Hauls very steady and is high enough off of the ground that I don't worry about scraping the trailer on the ground. I am very happy with it. |

Location: Georgia | This past summer I purchased a Kiefer X8093 ...part of the "real deal" thing Kiefer has going. It is 8 wide 7.6 high, 9 ft LQ. The horse compartment if fully insulated. Has everything you need in the LQ and pulls great. It even came with an equalizer jack. Obviously not along the lines of a 4 STar, Elite etc but Kiefer does offer one of the best warranties in the business. No...I am not a dealer nor am I related in any way with Kiefer...just really like my trailer. I did have a problem right after purchasing the trailer and the folks at Kiefer took care of it. I felt like they stood behind their product just as they should. One neat feature is the swing out saddle rack in the rear tack. You will hear/read good and bad about most any manufacturer out there..you have to go with what works for you. Good luck and happy shopping. |

You'll keep the Featherlite quality you like and let someone else take the hit on the new trailer price. There's 112 Featherlite, 4 horse, LQ trailers listed here on HTW! |

Location: Arkansas | Our Exiss Event has done well, it is 8 years old without any issues, (well the step into the LQ had to be redone, which they took care of) and has been a bunch of places. We are very pleased with it. I'd say look at a used trailer of whatever brand that satisfies you, look it over well, if it suits your particular desires, and proceed to make a deal! |

| We purchased a Featherlite trailer four years ago, when we decided to go bigger, we bought another Featherlite. Our son also owns a Featherlite. Everyone has their preferences. We shopped for over 8 months to find our bigger one. Thank goodness for the internet.

Location: East London South Africa | Take a look at Cherokee....I have a 4H Tomahawk and we are busy with a safari through Africa with it at the moment - better test you wont get...it is a sturdy reliable and well built. It tows like a dream, and we have some roads here that resemble armageddon. I have has no problems with it thus far. i like the bigger windows, it makes the inside very light and in summer it stays nice and cool. Check them out - you might like them. |
