Location: Coconut Creek, FL | I hope this isn't a stupid question, but here goes. I just bought (1) Honda EU2000ia companion generator. I plan on getting a 2nd one so I can run the AC, but wanted to start with the one. It has a 30A outlet as well as a 20. My trailer has a 30A outlet on it, but the generator info says not to use it until I have 2 generators hooked up with the parallet kit. I also have the 110 outlet rubber piece and have used that on the plug. Can I buy a 20A outlet to put on the end of the 30A plug? I bought this model since it weighs 47 pounds which I can lift in and out of the truck. I cannot lift the 150 lbs 3000 unit.

Location: Rocky Mount N.C. | 10-4.... You can purchase an adapter to get you up and running. http://www.marinco.com/product/one-piece-adapter-30-amp-locking-20-amp-locking http://www1.shopping.com/-30+amp+to+20+amp+converter+plug I've got a couple 15 amp male to 30 amp RV adapters in "my box"... Don't leave home without them.

Location: Coconut Creek, FL | Thanks everyone - I checked Home Dept and they didn't have it and I left before I saw the Wal-Mart posts, BUT I remembered buying some adapters awhile back. I checked in the garage and found one that is perfect. Now I can keep toasty warm this weekend camping as we're heading to Kissimee State Park Preserve and at night it's gonna be in the 30's! 60's during the day. |
