Location: Decatur, Texas | We got a nice 5 hour trail ride through the LBJ grasslands! What a great day to spend on horses! At least they don't care who's coming over! |

Location: Central Arkansas | I got the neatest commercial quality camera system installed into my show barn. One camera per stall plus one on each end of the barn shooting the driveways and barn lots. These are all hardwired into a computer that time stamps and records directly to the hard drive. I can view what is going on in each stall via internet in real time wherever in the world I am! Now, boarders can zoom in and watch their horses from work, home, vacation or even their Blackberry. How cool is that! Plus, the program lets you zoom after the fact and has also has time markers, visual aids and extreme activity alerts. Which means that if I have a horse cast or rolling, I can get alerts sent to me. The system can also tie into our ADT to alert the fire dept & police. Just too cool! |

Location: western PA | FYI and Question: Not too long ago was a posting in which the following question was asked. "Can a LCD be left in a LQ over the winter?" My Mrs. Santa Clause just purchased us a LCD TV for our seasonal home, and was specifically told by the salesperson, that it was not supposed to be subject to any freezing temperatures. To do so would incure damage, and it would void any warranty. She was told to bring it home in the fall, and store it over the winter at a room temperature. We have a portable dvd player that we have left in the LQs without any problems for a couple of years. Many vehicles, RVs, campers and trailer LQs are equipped with DVD's and screens, that are not removed in frigid weather. I haven't heard of any reliability problems, resulting from them being subjected to cold temperatures. Are there any electronic wizzards in this forum that know what the correct answers are? Can all LCD displays be damaged by freezing temperatures? Gard |

Location: Central Arkansas | - My IT guy installed it so I will have to ask him the specifics. Shoot me a PM with your email and I can get the info for you. I looked at the systems that Sams, Costco, Radio Shack and ADT offered. This was more expensive but is a higher grade. It is the same commercial system that he has installed in grocery stores in his neck of the woods.

Location: Kansas | I didn't get dirt. And I specifically asked for it! I wanted to redo my stalls. Who needs perfume when you can get dirt? Well, maybe the mats to go over it too... |

Location: MI. | What did I get from Santa? Giving to my family is a gift to me from Santa. LCD screens.....Utility and police vehicles have them. I have never heard of any issues other than warming the vehicle up before using the computer.
