You will have to find a reverse slant load trailer floor plan, which is comparatively rare. If you go to HTW and look at LQ "Weekender" packages' photos, you will find many photos of installations by several different conversion companies. Location: North of Detroit, MI | Hi trina ... I suggest that you search through the trailers for sale, for what you are looking for, then view the images. I'm not sure you will find many floorplans though. It also depends on if you have a door from the LQ area to the horse area. Do you have any windows in the LQ area that need to be allowed for? |

Many LQs with a small short wall, put the door on that side, to allow the maximum amount of cabinetry and appliances on the long wall. Most typical slant loads have the short wall on the street side, ergo the installation I mentioned. I have seen a few reverse slant load trailers that had the door on the short wall, which in that case was the curb side. I've seen a 4ft short wall streetside with a curbside door (not a reverse slant) - wouldn't be my choice, but they do exist. Trina... do a search on conversions and check out some of the conversion companies advertised on this site for ideas. ...tis the season for peace and goodwill! |

Location: Atlanta, GA | Merry Christmas Everyone... Check out the Dixie Tuff weekender that Dixie Horse & Mule has. It is a 4' sw with the entry on the curb side. Hope this helps |

Location: Kansas | this was a six foot but you could move things around and make it fit. also to make to make it curbside just flip it over.

If you are buying a trailer to add LQ later I think the point several are making is you have more flexibility in having the long wall not interrupted by the door if you have the door on the streetside. Putting the door in the long wall on the curbside doesn't give you many cabinet/counterspace options in a 4' SW trailer. As far as awnings go, talk to any RV repair shop or Camping World. |

Location: Decatur, Texas | Just to get an idea, go to top of this forum under trailer companies and scroll down to conversion companies then find Outlaw Conversions, they show floor plans from 4' to whatever!
And gard is right, most 4' SW trailers are street side access not curb side. Going to curb side door on a4' SW (to me) really cuts out things you can do on the inside. |

Location: western PA | I can't help but wonder, if manufacturers will install the doors on the long wall, when the inside area is used and sold as a dressing room, as apposed to a LQ installation. I have never seen a "factory" installed LQ in a 4' short wall, with a curbside door, while I have seen this in several dressing room installations. I'm not saying they don't exist, as many manufacturers will build anything a customer will order. Gard |

Location: corinth, ms | thanks for all your input, I do already own the trailer and the curb side is door quite popular around here esspecially with people that use rv parking, most rv's have curbside doors. Mine does have the door set to one side of the long wall instead of in the middle so that helps a little. I like the door on curbside myself but its just personal prefrence. I have talked to several conversion companies and have some floor plans but I was hoping on some pointers from people that already having one. Just the ups and down of the placement of things. Like which side is best for the shower and shower/potty combo or separate, that kind of thing. |

Location: western PA | The placement of your equipment will be unlike a standard 4' LQ. You have in essence, two wall spaces of four feet each, where as most LQ's have one wall of about 1 1/2' and one wall of 7'+. Your shower/bath is best placed into the corner with an acute angle to your slant wall. That will give you a starting point from which to install your other appliances. Gard |

Location: Decatur, Texas | The shower/potty combos are made to install in the corner of the LONG wall.. I have not seen any other type set ups that would work in a short dressing room. The bath area is the big part of the trailer, like gard said, that needs to be first (if it fits) then you can build around that. |

Location: Where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain... | The shower potty combos will fit on the long wall behind a curbside door. Most of your layouts show the kitchen area in front of the shower combo with the door on the short wall. Just move the kitchen to the short wall and the door to the long wall at the front of the trailer. While I will agree most of the new trailers have the door on a 4' short wall, most of the older trailers had the door on the long wall. |

Location: Holland, Tx | I could sketch out how a friend of mine built her's. Mine has a street side door as we purposely chose that feature so I'd have a longer wall space to work with for my necessities.

Location: Holland, Tx | My friend had her's set up (curbside door) so that as you came in the door, the shower/potty combo was on the immediate left. Depends kinda on what features you want on how it should be set up. |

Location: Delaware | A friend of mine has a 4' factory LQ Adams with the curbside door set to the front of the long wall. When you walk in he has a shower/combo to the left, the kitchen unit is on the short wall with a bench in front of the gooseneck. It sounds small but it is cozy and he has the room he needs. He also has a full awning. The only complaint is he wished he had gotten the walk thru door to the back. |
