Hopefully someone out there can give me some help. I'm buying a horse trailer with a ramp, that I can hardly lift myself. What can I get to put on the ramp to help me lift the ramp. Are there springs or a kit available.

There's an assortment of left hand and right hand torsion ramp springs on this page.....  http://shop.easternmarine.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.catalog&categoryID=462

Does your ramp have assist springs on it now? Here's some continuous coils that can be added to a trailer that has no spring assist....  http://www.horsetraileraccessorystore.com/ramp_assist_springs.htm

There are some coils at the ramp hinges, I'm told that they can be heated then oiled and that would help. Other than that I don't see any other springs. The ramp is heavy and hard for one person to lift up. Letting it down isn't a problem. It also needs a handle to pull with. So, where do these springs attach, on the sides or what. Thanks for your input, as this is the first time I have done this on my own.
