| Here is a scam inquiry that I received for our horse that we've been trying to sell all summer through various websites (Dreamhorse,Equine.com,ect.) I'm going to copy and paste it,then I'll paste my replies. Name: bill Username clitonbill City, State: new york Phone: +447045765750
Comments: Hello, I am interested in buying your horse plz get back to me if it is still available and come up with answers to the folowing questions about the horse: 1) The real owner of the horse? 2) If yes, how long have you been with it? 3) How many yr? 4) Is she is in good health condition? 5) Most importantly What is the final price? Regards, Bill cal me +447045765750 I am unable to find my reply in the messages, but,it went something like this: Hello, thanks for your inquiry for our horse. Here are the answers to your questions:The REAL owner of the horse is Bill Clinton. He no longer lives in Arkansas,as I am sure you know because you lucky folks in New York have them with you, now. And he's busy trying to help his wife get a big job with the Obama administration,so,he doesn't have time to ride and we're selling it for him. I haven't been with the horse all that long, really.I've tried to stay out there with it,but,it has to be really nice weather and the mosquitoes not eating us alive, otherwise,I have to stay in the house with my husband. You know how it is. Is SHE in good health? Well, last time I heard, his mama is in good health.I'm 56 and I think by now I know the difference in a gelding and a mare, and I'm sure this is a gelding. The most important thing,oh yeah, the final price.Well, for you,it is going to be $12500 for my time answering these stupid questions of yours and I want it wired directly to Bill, and he'll send it on to me. Thanks!

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas | CRGirl, I do the same thing with those e-mails telling me that I've been selected by the Prince of Namimbia, or Bank of Namimbia , to help them launder money... I am an extrordinarily lucky person, because I've ALSO been left several million dollars by someone I don't know, and if I'll just send my name, social security, and address, they'll send me my dough... who needs the lottery with friends like these? |

Location: New Mexico | A couple of years ago there was a web site that someone posted all their emails to these scamers. She played them up big time, reading those conversations was hysterical. Her goal was to get them to send their fake checks by Fed Ex. There was a couple of great reverse scams. The web site was www.bustedupcowgirl.com. Looks like the web site no longer works but if you do a search there are other people who have posted a few of her reverse scams on their pages. They are worth reading for a laugh. |

| Yah,I realize that not everyone would have wasted "their" time replying to it.But I myself found it funny, and, long as I get a laugh out of it,I don't much care what anybody else thinks or feels about what I'm doing.I guess after a year of cancer treatment in '06,maybe I go out of my way to look at the goofy side of things more.If it makes me laugh instead of making me sad, well,I consider that to be a GOOD thing for me. (Better than wasting time picking internet fights). |

I really enjoyed reading the responses to the trailer scam that were on the trailer talk forum. Make your own happiness.. here's a for you CRG. Thanks for sharing a laugh with the rest of us. Location: Illinois | Gotta love them. Guess there are enough greedy and/or desperate people that still fall for these scams or they'd quit by now. I always loved (haven't had any for a while) the emails that would say your account with (PayPal, eBay, places I didn't even have an account with) will be suspended if I don't click on the link provided and update my financial information. Yeah right buddy I'll get right on that. If you love reading about people that mess with these 419 scammers, which it appears should be done with some caution, these are not nice people, here's a great site for that. http://www.419eater.com/ I'd share one of my favorites, but their video stuff is down. :( |

| Thanks for that web link,Yvette.good reading and material on there. It wasn't that big of a deal to me that a scam email like that was sent,I've received some before, but, that one had me excited when I first saw that I had an ad response in my inbox. Then I saw the user name, and thought,"oh,brother." After I read it,I almost laughed at how stupid those questions were.Probably just a kid messing around.I blocked it on Equine.com and reported it as spam/scam to them. |

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas | Hi all, Here's my newest contribution to this thread.. I just returned from the in-law's yesterday.. my scammer had an e-mail inquiry for me regarding my daughter's pony we've been trying to sell.. Original message:
Cinnamon Twist (1232726) Hello, Compliment of the day,i saw your Horse adverts on DreamHorse in which am highly intrested in purchasing it from you, kindly let me know if its still available for sell and its present condition ? I am really okay and comfortable with the datas you illustrated on the web site but i will still want you to pls tell me more about it what you did u forget to add on the advert..... Thanks...
REPLY: Hello, Thank you for your interest... Yes, our pony is still available..My ad was pretty complete.. Did you have any specific questions? Leslie
Inquirer message #2: Dear Mate, How are u doing today and how's work?i hope u're having a great time. Thanks for the prompt response,Well i'm very much interested in buying your Horse. Again I have some questions to ask: do you have the coggins test ? health certificate? Horse Age? Horse Registration? Horse Horse Skills or Potential? Horse Description? What will be your last asking price? Sorry if i may ask is this your personal property cos i don't want to involve myself with stolen properties for sale. Looking forward to hear back from you soonest.more pics
Best regards Steelman. REPLY#2 Again, the ad describes the pony for sale.. Reread the ad and your questions will be answered...As for selling a stolen pony, I think you are the one with the scam going, not I
