Location: Arkansas | I am wanting to remove all of my old rivets (that hold my chrome stripping on), some are loose or just missing but others are still on tight. I want to remove them all and put new rivets in their place. They'll need to be remove for painting anyways.I don't want to damage the chrome or the steel...so any suggestions or tried-and-true removals would be helpful. Thanks |

Location: Okla City, Okla | Use a small drill bit and drill out the center of the rivet. They can be pushed out then. Don't use a bit bigger than the rivet hole though. You're actually drilling the head off the rivet and leaving the shaft which can be punched out.

Location: Southern New Mexico | Kind of a pain in the butt, but the best way has already been stated. Drill baby drill! |
