Location: FL | Does anyone have a one horse BP? 4-Star has a new 1 horse model. I am considering looking at it since it is really light, under 2,500 lbs, I think I may beable to haul easier with my Expedition (I know SUV is not an ideal hauling vehicles but lets save that discussion for another thread). How stable are one horse trailers? Its four feet wide, 10 feet long, and 7 feet tall. Would these trailer dimensions make it more subject to sway or tip over?? |

Location: FL | My two horse trailer weighs over 3000 pounds. I thought maybe a one horse trailer would be a good alternative for my tow vehicle. I really don't want to buy a pickup truck! However, the 4-star one horse trailers are out of my price range - but I may be able to find another competitor model at cheaper price |

No reason why your Expedition can't haul a normal 2H safely. Let me guess, you've been reading over at COTH? |

Location: Texas | When my wife and I were looking for our trailer, we looked at a dealership that sold WW brand trailers. They had two brand new 1 horse trailers on their lot.
For size, usefulness, and resale, I'd be much more apt to buy a small 2-horse trailer.

Yeah, but when you re-install the missing an axle, it would probably go to about 1000 lbs. Ha ha.

The early Expeditions had a towing capacity of 7k#, the new ones have ratings up to 9k#. They are more than capable of pulling most two or three horse BP trailers. Our three horse BP Cornpro sock/ combo trailer only weighed a little over 3300# and the Expo pulled it easily. Gard |

Location: Woodbine, MD | I have a single horse trailer. It is old and sturdy and made of steel, galvanize metal and wood. It is a Wexford by Cummins. I would suspect it to be about 30+ yrs old. My roommate left it with me before he went to Iraq. We used it extensively to haul his roping horse up and down the east coast from show to show. We used a Jeep wagon , a Ford Expedition and a Ford F250 pickup to haul it no problem. |

Location: Ottawa, Illinois 61350 | A one horse trailer will have the same wheelbase as a two or three horse trailer. It should be very stable as the weight is centered. The manufacturer would either use a 96" or 102" axle. The resale on a 1 horse trailer will probably not be as good as a two. I personally would purchase a two horse instead of a one horse trailer. You definitely have enough vehicle for a two horse. |
