Location: New Mexico | Just bought my first 4H gooseneck, love it. It is Sooner aluminum and has decals that I would like to remove. What is the best way to get these off without damaging the aluminum. I've put the kids to work on peeling but that got boring real quick. |

Location: New Mexico | Our miniature horse club trailer had a good-sized 'stick on' logo; when we 'moved' up to a larger trailer and needed to sell the first one, I used a heat gun to loosen and then remove it. It was a white painted? trailer, typical cargo trailer. Not sure if it'd work the same way for decals on a metal surface, however...maybe someone else would know? Hope you can find something that works w/o taking FOREVER! Margo, also in NM! |

Location: AL | Many suggest using a warm hair dryer over the decal to loosen it up. Then peel away! Hope that might work! |

Location: western PA | Sometimes using a hair dryer doesn't produce enough heat to soften the adhesive. After the decal is removed, bug and tar remover usually removes the adhesive from a painted surface. Gard |

Location: OR | Most sign companies have tools you can purchase for around $25 that are designed just for this purpose. While I personally have not had the need to use one I have heard great results. Hair dryer will often work as well but as Gard said does not always generate enough heat. |

Location: hartfield, va 23071 | 3-m makes a liquid that takes decals and goo off. Any parts store should be able to get it we just sold the shieriff dept 4 quarts. |
