Location: Keymar,Maryland | We have camped and ridden out of Fort Valley several times. It has new owners since then. We always enjoyed ourselves. The trails are mountainous and rugged. It is very rocky and I would say at an intermediate or higher level except for the trails on camp property. Camp was always fine for us, no late night party and the pipe corrals are decent. I'm sure we will return. I will warn you that unless you are very experienced do not go from Jaw Bone gap west over the west Massanutten Ridge and down to Moreland Gap. Extremely rugged and I would not go over it again. It's a newer trail and you literally navigate at least 3 " rock slides", we dismounted and picked our way across. It was tense and honestly I had no business being there with my old QH despite his lots of miles and gameness. Location: Tidewater, VA | Love Fort Valley! New owners are awesome! You will enjoy you're stay. Trail is rocky, if you're not used to it, walk or jog until you/your horse figures it out. (I rarely have to slow less than a working trot.) The views are to die for! There are miles and miles of trails in many different directions, you can ride all day, for several days without doing the same thing twice! 51 |

Location: Vanzant, Missouri | I was at Fort Valley over labor day. New owners are friends of mine. We do miss them here. Nice horse camp. They are planning some changes. It will take them I'm sure time to get it together. I did hear mention of one of his first prioities is to widen the entrance. I will like that. Bill and Laura will help ya anyway they can. Great People. We're going back down the weekend of Oct 10th. We usually ride up to Kennedy's peak. The trails were good except where we found the ground bee nest. Then it got a little western but all was ok.. |

Location: md | So it was sold? And the new owners are from West TN-Rose???? Why?? I know they were asking a passel of $ for it. Was'nt it Rick and Sandy that owned it?? I have done rides out of there, but since I own a house in Ft Valley, I can ride out of my own place. |

Location: Vanzant, Missouri | Yes it was Rick & Sandy that use to own it. The new owners are from Southern MD. Don't know what the price paid was. But the new owner has plans for improvement. That is great that you have a house there. It's a nice place to be and ride.... |
