Location: Madison, NC		Anyone have any suggestions on where to stay and how the trails are as for scenery? Is there a lot of back tracking?

We have not been there but it is on the list. This is a very helpful site

http://www.sauratowntrails.org/ I'll probably stay at Sauratown stables then change camps to the southern end. Some of the camps are listed on horsetraildirectory.com and get good reviews. Good luck, Rich.
