Where can I find the MSRP of different trailer brands.  I want to know if the prices that the dealers are offering are actually in the right price range that they should be.  I don't know much about trailer prices, but I do know that I don't like to be taken advantage off.  I don't want to have to call every manufacturer and ask for the MSRP.  Some of them won't even give out that information!!

I don't think there is such a thing as MSRP.... So far as horse trailers go. Every dealer will be different.... Freight is different for each dealer..... Northeast trailers are higher priced than midwest trailers of the same make and size.... Long way from Oklahoma to Maine!!

Some dealers are satisfied with a 10% profit, others want 30, 40, 50%. All you can do is compare apples to apples and purchase the trailer that will let you sleep at night.

so you are saying that brands like featherlite and sundowner don't actually put a suggested retail price on the trailers that they build?  That seems kind of weird.

I know with the equipment that I sell I have a list price from the factory, and then I get a percentage off list. For example if the equipments list price is $10,000 and I get 25% off list, my cost is $7,500 so I can sell it anywhere I want, even at $12,000 if I can get the buyer to pay it. Most people are shopping many different brands and the pricing is very tight when you do that. As long as you are comparing like made trailers against each other, they will be priced close. But a Bloomer will be higher than an Exiss. But Bloomer and 4 Star should be priced comparable with each other. Hope this helps.

there is an MSRP on everything( now that really means nothing it is what someone is willing to sell it to you for that is the important factor) especially horse trailers and the dealer should be willing to tell you what it is especially because there should be such a discount between asking price and MSRP. There may be small fluctuations between regions but really check the internet for similar trailers with similar features and get a range that you are comfortable paying for a trailer.

Not true on the MSRP on everything, there are some trailer MFGs that have net pricing to the dealer and do not have or publish a MSRP price or price list, that is why I ask which MFG and if it is one we have done business with I could tell you if there is an MSRP for the MFG's product.
