2008 Demo Platinum 5 horse with 14’ Outlaw LQ trailer.
Each year, we order a trailer for our family to junior rodeo out of. We normally pull it 6,000-7,000 miles over the 4 summer months that we use it. Sometimes we build it with new options we would like to experiment with but many times, we design it to fit our lifestyle while our family of 5 plays. As our kids grow, so has our need to haul more horses and haul more “stuff”. This particular trailer reflects just that-more storage for nearly everything. A larger hay pod, roomier mangers, and an oversized rear tack.
The tricky part is not letting it get too big-I just refuse to buy a big truck-our F350 dually has got to be able to pull it, and more importantly, stop it. This one is borderline on size, although it has the 8K axles, 16 ply tires, and electric/hydraulic brakes, I don’t think I’d want to pull one any bigger with a pickup.
Missy (my wife and business partner) has spoiled us again in the living quarter. Satellite TV, flat screen TV’s, very cold air conditioner, Days End mattress, bunk beds, great bathroom-it’s easy to be away from home. Click here for her thoughts on using this trailer.
Our heavy traveling ends toward the last of July so we’ll have our shop go through it, service the generator, pack bearings, checks brakes, have it detailed and get it ready for the next family to enjoy. If you have any questions, please let us know.
