I called 2 different places for a quote to spray my Featherlite 2 horse slant load floor. One place said $1400, and the other said $600. They both have the same product, so why the price difference? I thought the $1400 bid was kind of high, considering I just had my new truck bed sprayed (not Rhinoliner, but something similar) and it was around $400.Deidre

Probably prep work, employee wage scale, % of profit markup, or a combination of the three.

There are no fixed prices for the service. The dealers are allowed to price their work at what ever the local market will bear. The quality of the prep work will determine how well the product lasts. The least expensive bid may not allow time for the necessary labour, to adequately effect a permanent bonding of the product.

I won't speak for the price, But Logan Coach sprays their XT and XTR trailers with Vortex ( similar product to rhino) and it has held up very well in my trailers. They spray the walls and the aluminum planks on the floor in the horse area and under the gooseneck/front wall. I think it is a great idea that makes for easy maintenance.

Gard, I think you are right. The more expensive guy talked extensively about prep work and the type of primer. I went out and measured my trailer and called him back with exact square footage, and he was able to quote a lower price of $800. Still expensive, but I feel like he knows what he is doing, so I'm taking the trailer to him.I appreciate everyone's replies.Deidre

if you have read the threads that Gard has posted about application methods of the Duplicolor lining on the trailer floors, that  gives you a good idea about the work and time involved.

Before I spent $800.00 on spray on/mop on/roll on floor liner, I would get a price on a W.E.R.M floor. It may be just a little more money or it may be alot more money, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out..... I'm going to guess $12-$15 per square foot, but I may be way off.

Too late for Werm in my 2 horse, but maybe I should consider it for my other trailer that I ordered and is being built (in the conversion shop right now). I didn't know you could add WERM after the fact. Do they put it on top of the aluminum floor?Deidre

Quote: Do they put it on top of the aluminum floor?

Yes, it's poured right over top of the aluminum extrusions/planks/sheets. It can be installed when new or after years of use. Either way the floors surface must be properly prepaired so the WERM material will bond to the aluminum.......

Did you know rhino liners crack and urine and water gets in the cracks and then your floor is no longer protected!  In fact the Sundowners did this on all there trailers and about 10 months ago quit doing it due to so many recalls and problems.  You should check into WERM flooring (We eliminate Rubber Mats).  WERM is a soft rubber flooring poured into your trailer and put in like concrete but soft of course! I hear a new dealer is located in Minnesota now, the only other closest place is Oklahoma! I have it and love it, just hose it out when you are done. www.wermflooring.com
