So I just got my new alluminum stock trailer last week, naturally I want it to last for a LONG time.

I saw some posts in other threads regarding coating floors etc?

What's the story here? What do you coat them ith and how?

Any other particular maintenance or care items a guy should be concered with?

The floor can be coated with WERM, spray in bed liner materials, DIY bed liner materials or at the very minimum, rubber mats. If the aluminum flooring is left uncoated, the butt side of the mats should be rolled back and the floor flushed with water to clear the area of urine. Allow the area to dry before replacing the mats.

If the flooring is coated, in most instances this flushing will be greatly reduced, and the mats will only have to be moved once or twice a year.

I've got rubber mats in mine.

Maybe this is a dumb question but what's WERM?

It's a thick applied rubberized coating. Do a search, and you will find a multitude of threads on the subject.

I'm not sure how much the werm flooring is, but I had mine sprayed with a truckbed liner (rino) and then puts my mats on top of it.  I also use shavings to help soak up any urine.

The Rhino is about 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of the WERM. The DIY bed liner is about 1/8 the cost of the Rhino.

Both the Rhino and the bed liner need rubber mats installed over the coating. The WERM is usually left uncovered.
