Location: MARION, KY		HAS ANYONE CAMPED HERE BEFORE? HOW IS IT.  I JUST MADE RESERVATIONS FOR A GROUP OF ABOUT 4 COUPLES.  I KNOW THE RIDING IS GREAT AROUND THERE.  THANKS!

I love the Shawnee area-- but there are much better campgrounds than Bear Branch IMO

The stalls are nice-- and it's in a good area-- but the rest isn't so good

Check out Hayes Canyon right next door-- or not so far away is High Knob  Campground also.

Location: benson, az		We have reservations there starting October 6th, will stay for a week.
I am looking forward to hearing about your visit, both the riding and the camping.

Bear Branch is the worst campground in Shawnee. Hayes, Circle B would be a better choice for the area you have selected. Read reviews here: http://www.horsetraildirectory.com/Nov05_selector_results.asp?State=IL&desc=Illinois&unit=state

Location: Central WI		When visiting the Shawnee we stay at Hayes Canyon which is just a short distance from Bear Branch.  We avoided Bear Branch based on postings found on this and other sites.  We did check out the BB facilities while there and found them lacking compared to several other campgrounds.  If you're staying in your own LQ trailer it may be OK but I would hesitate renting one of the cabins.  The riding will be fantastic regardless!  Be sure to post your findings to let us know what you experienced.  Things may have changed.
