I've got a mare with all sorts of trailering "requests" .. so I collapsed the rear tack on my 3H Exiss slant so she can turn around when unloading. There's about a one inch gap between the doors when they're shut. I did a search and see that this is normal for some trailers. Is this a safe thing, especially with a horse in the last slot?

I can't think of how it can be a safety issue for the horse other than it can "see" between the gap. If this is an issue simply attach a rubber strip on one door that would fill in the gap.
