Anyone have one?  I am looking at getting a new trailer and seen these....are they good quality?  They seem to be a little cheaper so I was curious.

I w told by a dealer that the Bisons are made by an RV company and therefore the LQ area is usually really nice.  Since I was more interested in the horse area, I moved on in my search, but it depends on what you are looking for I guess, and if the dealer was telling me the truth too!

I think Bison trailers are awesome and a great value.  They are very spacious and I have one and would definitely buy another one.  I have the 8316 with a bunk house.  NO leaking anywhere!

The Bison Alumasport SE is the best buy.
Alum. skin, Steel frame and wood floor.
Just add a couple of options to the std. trailer
and you've got a doable unit.
Dollar for dollar hard to beat.
You'll be happy with it!

http://www.bisontrailer.com/

Standard Features

  • Aerodynamic stainless steel nose
  • Stainless 60/40 rear doors
  • Pre-finished aluminum skin
  • Aluminum camper step w/lighted grab handle
  • Single piece aluminum roof
  • Graphics
  • Fully enclosed gooseneck
  • Spare tire w/rack
  • Easy access removable saddle tree
  • Drop-down feed windows
  • Escape-door first stall
  • Sofa or dinette sleeper
  • Paneled/wainscot walls & ceiling
  • Solid oak cabinet doors
  • Refrigerator
  • 2-burner cook top
  • On-demand water pump
  • Large capacity fresh, grey & black holding tanks
  • Built-in step in carpeted gooseneck
  • 18,000 BTU furnace
  • Dual LP tanks
  • TV prep/antenna

    Popular Options

  • Electric or hydraulic lift
  • 8,000 lb. Axle w/”H” range tires
  • Mangers
  • Stud wall - front stall
  • Hay rack w/ladder
  • Aluminum ramp
  • Lined/insulated horse ceilings
  • Generator prep or pkg.
  • Drop windows hip wall
  • Slide-out w/awning
  • Deluxe light package
  • Ducted roof A/C (Non-ducted 6’8” models)
  • 3-burner cook top
  • 3-burner cook top w/oven
  • DSI water heater
  • AM/FM stereo CD w/exterior marine speakers
  • Awning
  • Glass shower
Note: An 8' wide trailer gives the horses more room and it makes a difference in the LQ's - people room. That extra foot makes a big Difference, great option.

    A 4 horse w/ Mid Tack & Generator and a few
of the options listed above can be done
for around 60k...and again that is alot of trailer
for the money. Be a great unit for a Trail/Pleasure Rider.

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.

It's true that Bison was purchased by a RV plant.  I think it was in 2000 by Monaco RV,and yes their interiors are very nice.  I had no leaks what so ever!

We just bought an Exiss 3 horse with LQ at the Dixie Horse and Mule Company and while we were waiting, we went and looked at the Bisons he had in stock.

The most beautiful LQ trailer I've ever seen...had a 2nd entry mud room in back, a 16ft slideout with recliner, two fireplaces, lockable sleeping quarters, full sized kitchen...we ALMOST took the plunge and brought that back instead.  4 horse slant load.  All the trimmings.  Beautiful woodwork and lots of features.  We were drooling.

Mike or JT will give you a good deal on that trailer, and BTW, our NEXT trailer will be a Bison of similar design and quality.  Very nice.

I have been looking at LQ trailers quite a bit.

    I absolutely LOVE the Bison.

I see this thread has all positive responses.  Does anyone have anything negative to say?

I'd like to hear the good and the bad!

    Thanks!

I'm in the process of buying a 2008 Bison 8280. It's a 2 horse with a 8' SW with all the goodies I want in a trailer. It's the best bang for the bucks in my opinion.

    I picked up my Bison.

Ooowwwieiee I love it!  The dark wood inside...oooh its nice.  LOVE IT!

I am so glad I didn't get sucked in by Bison nay sayers and followed my gut!

It is so cozy, the furnace puts out lots of heat!  I slept in it last night and it was frosty outside and I was warm and comfy inside.

Guess what else?  It is nicer then the Sundowner I had!  LOL!

LOVE BISON!  Don't let the low price scare you off!
