This is not trailer related but this fourm is full of good advise. Can someone here stear us to a copy of a good horse lease to use. Our neighbors want to do a lease to own with one of our horses.

Lease to own is not a good deal for the seller!!!
If something happens to the horse...they can walk away!!!
Outright sales contract is the best way with livestock...if necessary, you might finance them, but remember you may have to sue them to recover final monies...

I'm "leasing to own" a horse to a family, they have just about got her paid up so she'll soon belong to them. Just be sure you got life and health insurance on the animal, just in case something bad were to happen. They pay the insurance money to me, then I send it to the insurance company. That way I know the premium is paid.
