I'm in the market for a trailer. After a lot of research, I've decided that what I want is a GN stock-combo with small DR that can convert into two box stalls. A front unloading ramp is essential.
I don't understand the kinds of dividers and gates that are described in stock/combo ads.
I know that a big 3H slant with a front ramp and dividers that go all the way to the floor would work. I want to keep the trailer under 20 feet, if possible. The horses in question are all under 17h.
Is this something that would have to be custom built or is this configuration (2 box stalls, stock/combo, front ramp, small DR) out there already. If the latter, who makes or has made it? Don't much care if the trailer is steel or aluminum if it's well made, but I would prefer some matting and padding on the walls and divider and rumber or WERM flooring.

If you are not locked into a stock trailer...here's one for you...
2+1 Trailer This trailer has a great set up. It is a 2 horse straight load that features an option of a box stall up front. Remove the dividers to have two box stalls! This is a very popular hunter/jumper trailer.

Alas, I really think I want the ventilation that you get with a stock. I'm in very hot and humid country with warmish winters, so the air flow that I'd get with a stock would be very kind to my horses.

I have a stock combo with front ramp for unloading and love it back ramp for loading and side front ramp for unloading it works great ( eby made it for me) I am sure that any trailer company can

We did a trailer for ourselves that sounds almost like what you are thinking of. It is NOT for sale but I will be more than happen to share my info. Mine is a 2008 4 Star 4H that is 21' on the box, 7' wide and 7 1/2' tall. It has a front side ramp and a full back ramp. We had the stud divider set between the 2nd & 3rd stall so we could pull the small divers quickly for to big box stalls for mares and foals. I also added a walk thru door, removable back tack, rooftop AC, WERM floor, Alcoa aluminum wheels (5), lined and insulate front to back, ties down both sides of the interior horse compartment, electric jack, swing out saddle rack in dressing room, hayrack, and extra brake and signal lights. It was originally to have stock sides, BUT, we realized that we would get alot more air with big drop down windows on the heads & hips. Plus it would be much easier to to close the trailer for nightime winter travel. In Mar of this year, I had to put plexiglass in and out twice a day for several days to regulate the air flow from 78 during the day down to 30 at night. Plus, we have a big problem with spiders and dirt daubers in the summer so now I am able to keep the little "hitch hikers" out! I really think this may be the perfect run around trailer for our needs. We purchased it last month from Ted Nitzel @ Central States of OK.
