We are in the middle of our LQ project. I am trying to decide if I want a hood vent over my 4 burner stove and oven. Do you guys use yours very much if you have one? If you don't have one, do you wish you did? I do have a small window next to my stove. Thanks for any input.

This has been some project!!! Built several houses without any problems. THis has been a challenge!

In warmer temperatures, firing up the stove without a vent, will quickly raise the interior temperature of your LQ to uncomfortable levels. It is a definite must. Even with the vent available, we often forgo the burners in favour of the microwave which produces little heat.

We use ours, if for no other reason to move the very warm air from the gas cooktop to the outside.  Use it quite a lot...

My trailer has both an exhaust fan and a vent. I do have to to out and manually remove the vent cover but I would not use my cooktop with at least opening the vent. Most of the time I also run the exhaust fan. But then I am slightly paranoid about gas fumes and the whole lack of oxygen thing. The size of my LQ dictates extreme precautions! It is without a doubt the smallest LQ in the history of LQs but I like it!
