I'm trying to find a place online that I can purchase a butt strap for my horse trailer. My friend has a new Featherlite and I like her butt strap on the last stall instead of the bar(saftey reasons). Help??!!!

Nope its a nylon strap that featherlite uses now instead of the bar. You can cut it if ever needed. Thanks though ;)

This company can make just about whatever you need on straps. www.strapworks.com

Or you could just call Featherlite or Exiss (I think they use it too) and talk to their parts department.

I've heard of making one with a nylon strap and appropriate hardware (e.g., via the strapworks site above) and using a piece of foam as the padding... either pipe insulation or a cut off pool noodle toy. :D

Jamco also uses the nylon strap thingies in their trailer... makes sense if you're in an accident and need to release the chest/butt bar quickly -- just take a knife and cut through the nylon.
