I have a horse who is very unhappy with the solid head divider. My old trailer had "jail bars" on the head so the horses could see and got lots of ventilation. A friend suggested drilling big holes in the head divider to make it lattice type. Sounded like a good idea to me. What could be the problems? What would be the easiest way to clean up the burrs in the holes [it is aluminum]?

There is an HVAC shop in Monroe that does custom sheetmetal. I've thought about having them do a studwall for me since my trailer didn't come with one. Let me know if you want their info if you don't want to do this yourself.
I'm guessing sharp edges would be your biggest concern.
