uys and Gals, Planning a trip to Pidgeon Forge Tn.Have a 3 hosre living quarters trailer.Any suggestions on where to stay?Need nice campgrounds and pretty trails.Will be hauling own horses.Tks D

The best camp is Orchard Cove Stable in Townsend. 250 miles of trails in the park. Visit www.orchardcovestables.com. I am there alot had can show you around the area.

yes I agree my wife and I was there in oct someone told us about a new place opening we drove over and found no one around we parked at the turn around and rode schoolgap to turkey pin and over to tremont came back a very long ride and rode our horses to this place new camping and new barn with stall sorry we missed the owner we will be back next spring or fall I love rideing the smokies

Definitely stay in Townsend, the quiet side of the Smokies. Pigeon Forge is a zoo. You can easily get to PF from Townsend via Wears Valley, and it is a much more pleasant place to stay. Several nice campgrounds.

We are planninga trip to Orchard Cove this year. Are the trails well marked, do they have maps available?

yes the trails are well marked and you can go to GREAT SMOKIES MT PARK AND PULL UP THE TRAIL MAPS ANY TIME IS GOOD EXCEPT AUG SEPT AND SOME OCTS THE YELLOW JACKETT WERE BAD IN 07 IN OCT LOTS OF FOLKS GOT STUNG THIS YR MY HORSE GOT IT AND MY WIFE GOT IT IN THE EYE GOOD RIDING
