Hi,
I keep seeing these trailers advertised as 2+ or 2/3 horse trailers where you can haul 2 horses plus a third in a box stall and was wondering: a) if anyone has one and how they like it and b) does anyone know of a manufacturor who makes it more economical than high 20's to 30's?

Thanks.

I just saw a drawing of the new Merhow 2+1 NICE!!! with a good price. I think they build a real good trailer. It has lots of usable space.

Hawk makes one with a slant in front of two straights.

I would suggest the Hawk, as they make one in the low 20's. You can have it built to your specs with nearly any oprion you want. Nice quality trailers.

Wife and I have the Trail-et with a box stall in front and two straight loads behind. Can be converted to two box stalls. Great thing about it is that you have the option of just walking a horse straight off. Both the side and back doors have ramps. This turned out to be a blessing in that wife's new horse had only ridden in slants and could not figure out how to back. Would get to the edge and stop the rear two feet and freeze I thought that the horse would go up as she was sitting down so much and go over. But by opening up the front, even with a steeper ramp she walks out.
Another thing that we like is that for shows over the weekend you can clear the front area of stuff and have a space out of wind and sun/ rain. Normally we go to the show that extra area is used for feed and assorted things so that moves back into the straight load area. Gives you a nice place to sit and watch things.
