We are planning a trip to Barkcamp in southern Ohio. I saw the campground on a road trip a few months back and it looked nice. Has anyone been on the trails? any feedback would be appreciated. Ruth

I live about 30 minutes from BarkCamp! Have I been there? NOT YET! Shame on me - but I have a friend who goes there a lot and says it is very nice. I know they have a designated horseman's camp, too. We almost bought property adjacent to the park 4 years ago when we were looking for horse property, but ended up closer to Wheeling. (I have trails out my back yard.) It was one of those decisions of comparing properties, which has utilities, etc.
Let me know if you come out, maybe I will bring my horse over and ride, too.

We used to go there many years ago when we lived in St. Clairsville, Oh. What I can remember the trails were nice. Don't think they had camping them. Everytime we go back home we say we're going to drive over there to see how things have changed. Have fun

The camping area at Barkcamp is very nice. Each spot is paved and has electric. There is a wash rack for the horses and picket lines for the horses. The riding is on the easy side, but nice. You can add loops to make the ride longer and different. The shower area is within walking distance. There is also miniature golf within walking distance.
