Just wondering if anyone has ever seen or heard of this being done???

I'm contemplating having the roof of my Titan rhino-lined.  It's galvanneal (non-rusting) and the paint is starting to chip on the roof...thanks to salty Utah winter roadways.  So...I'm going to have to do something with it either re-paint or rhino lining perhaps.

Maybe I'm crazy but it seems that I wouldn't be giving much up aerodynamically, that it would be "tougher" than paint anyway, has some flex to it and may actually make it cooler in the trailer.  Am I way off base?  Any cons you all can see that I haven't thought of?

The trailer is a 2003 and is silver in color.  Anyone ever had paint problems on a newer Titan before?  All the newer ones I've seen seem to have good paint.

Well I had the front of my old Kingston Line-Xed to replace the bogus stone guard that came from the company, as well as the surface of the ramp that is in the dirt and stones and it has worked out excellently...I don't see why you could'nt do a roof

Just wanted to update.

The plan is to check with Titan to see if there is a chance they might warranty it (probably not, but worth a shot I guess).  If not then I am going to go ahead and rhino line the roof.  The other thing I'm contemplating after it's rhinolined is to paint the middle third of the roof (down the center from nose to tail) with Kool Seal.

I'll post once it's done so y'all can see the results.  Hopefully they're good, lol!

I would look into the various coatings and sealants that the RV folk use first.
They've been doing this sort of thing a LONG time on travel trailers, i.e. "mature technologies & application methods".

Would it be black or what color? I would just worry about heat absorption. Sounds like a good idea, though, s long as the trailer would stay cool enough.
