We are very sad that Ponderosa Trails is not open to horse folks anymore. So, does anyone know if there is another camping area around the Huckleberry Ridge/Pineville, MO area? I have friends that have stayed at Huckleberry Stables in the Cabins, but would like to know if anyone has stayed there in a large LQ trailer? Ours is 32 feet and was wondering if it was even possible to stay there with this size trailer? Primitive Camp Areas is ok.... we can rough it without electric hook-up.

sorry about that!  There are 3 areas on top off k highway to primitive camp.  Will be at Huckleberry stables this weekend and are trailer is 33' overall in length-does get cramped slightly but have never had trouble. We use the primitive areas quite often when Rick is full.  Know of no other sites to camp at his time.

We have enjoyed camping at Huckleberry...til we got too big for our britches and super-sized! The primitive camping is fine for big rigs but remember to leave a little room for us. thanks.
