I have been readig on the Zodi water heaters. I have the catalog that says enjoy 100 degree showers with the single burner picture. It does not actually say the temp in the text. Other places on the web will say it only heats 30 degrees more than the water temp? What is the cold water temp? Does anyone know how hot the single burner actually gets?

I'm hoping it's an upgrade from the 5.00 camp shower I bought some time ago.

Any opinions?  Thanks!

I just bought one.  I haven't used it yet, but in the instructions it says it is not ment to heat water over 100*.  It says it is designed for average input water of 70* but can easily be used with ice cold water.  To use with colder water turn it on and place the shower head and pump in the same water container and let it circulate and warm up the water for a minute until it is the right temp for you.  So it may only warm it up 30* but you can get around that.

A few years ago, I got a Coleman Hot Water on Demand. I love it! Easy to set up, gives me HOT water when I need it. I set it up in the back on my trailer. I use a 5 gallon water bucket, that provides me with water for at least 3 showers. Course..you wet down, turn the water off, later up and then rinse off. Sure beats crawling into the bunk with trail dirt and bug spray on. Best investment I ever made.I had also looked at the Zodi heater, but I did not like the way it was set up. The Coleman is compact and easy to use.

I have a Zodi single burner I bought off Ebay a few years ago. Since then I have melted the hose with too hot water and left it in the trailer over winter apparently with water still in the transfer pump and froze it up.  Zodi was very willing to send me the replacements.  If you follow the directions you can have almost scalding hot water.  I chose to heat my water in a 5 gal bucket to just hotter than I want and shut the burner off and use it that way.  YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE WATER RUNNING THREW THE COILS BEFORE YOU LIGHT IT. This is how I burnt my hose up.  It will take about 3 minutes to heat water from 40* to 100* re-circulating thru the bucket.  I am looking at purchasing a
Coleman water heater next.

I appreciate all the responses.

I think I will follow Raven's lead and get the Coleman and the wave heater after looking those up also. I've said this before on the yahoo group...Raven, you're a wealth of information.

Thank you.

In the back on my trailer, I set up a small table, set the Coleman Hot water on Demand on the table. Added the small propane tank. Insert the intake hose into the HydroRoller 5 gallon container. I hang a shower curtain in my trailer, and use a 25 gallon muck bucket for standing in. (this is also the bucket I use to haul my firewood in). Start up the Coleman with a simple turn of the dial. There is not need for a match or lighter, it was a electric spark, runs on rechargeable batteries. It's pure heaven when I can take a shower before bed when camping. Link to hydroroller http://tinyurl.com/28q2nbI am SO ready for spring, riding and horse camping~! We're in the middle of a winter storm.

Went to Gander Mountain today and they have the Hydroroller for $29.99.  It's made by Reliance.

I got my Hydroroller for $20 on sale at Fleet Farm (Minnesota).  I bought it for myself for Christmas, in case no one got it for me.  No one did!

Well...cold water temps will depend on what the air temp is. In the hot summer the water temp will be warmer and colder in the colder temps of fall, spring.I would suggest that you look at the Coleman Hot Water on Demand System. It's very easy to set up and use. Heat only the water that you actually use. I love mine.
