I am trying to decide between a used and new trailer. Same brand. New one is about 10,000 more than one that is about 3 years old. Does that sound right?
Also, what do I need to watch out for in a used trailer?

We almost bought new but we found a used one two years older for about 8000.00 savings. the only difference was the new one had a big refridge, but i thought i could do without a big one for that much of a savings.
Does the used one have the same features that you want vs new? What kind of shape is the used one in?
I felt like we got an almost new trailer and saved a lot of money.
I guess it just depends how much you want to spend and the features. Another thing is the warranty. Does the used one come with a warranty?Debbie

If you can afford it, aren't comfortable with used and no warranty, then go buy new. Personally, I'd rather get more trailer for my money and buy used ( that and new is just too much) Keep in mind, used means used. Somethings will be less than perfect and its up to you to check it over, lights work, fridge, AC...and then figure out what you can live with. My used trailer has served me well for the past 3 years and I have hauled all over the place. Everything worked when i got it. Its not like there are transmissions and engines. They are far simpler than a vechile you just need to check out the floors, tires, windows, doors...you know stuff like that.

I've bought several used trailers, including the my current one. If you are a careful shopper you can really come out a head with a used trailer. horsemom3, I'm just down the road from you in Lucas. Send me pm if you'd like to come see my trailer. It's not for sale, but I'd be happy to provide some pointers.-Betty
