Try doing a search of past forums on here. I think they spelled it Ponderosa in the past threads. There will be alot of information on these past threads to help you out.
the general opinion is you get what you pay for, and ponderosa trailers are not very expensive. doesnt mean there is anything wrong with them, some people like them some dont. go look for yourself, after all its your money.

MY impression is that they're "value priced", i.e. good value. The finish is spotty, but the basic trailer is sound - - and low cost.
I have one and completely agree. Repainted it myself and finished the LQ myself with the info available on this board. My trailer man put brakes on the second axle and had me put trailer tires on it (it came with truck tires on it). So, even after all of that, I still don't have much money in it. I love it and haven't had a bit of trouble with it. I have the 2004 Qualifier model that doesn't have a manger but has a foal compartment - I love that because it's where I keep my tack.
