GM announces some of the 2007 Duramax diesel details, at least for the C4500. And plans for 2009+ V-8 Diesel in 1/2 tons. The new Duramax LMM to replace the LBZ and LLY, so we will see the 4th generation Duramax after the first of the year.GM gave us a little peek of the 2007 Duramax called the LMM in Kentucky a couple of weeks ago. It will be out in the C4500 first, read the release at http://mrtruck.net/07gmdieselnews.htm

I was just in Vancover, WA visting family. My brother is a long-haul truck driver. He said the fleet commerical hot-shot drivers, the ones that pull the 3 or 4 car trailers are buying the 2006 Chevy & Ford 3500 diesels because they don't think the new diesels are going to be up the task, either with power or reliability. I thought it was an interesting comment from a professional driver.

Interesting... out of 10 hot shotters I see pulling RV's up/down the I-90 corridor, 60+% are Dodge Cummins, 30% GM, 10% Ford.

From what I've heard, many avoid Ford, given the reliability issues of the 2003 and 2004...

"Interesting" ?
I'd say "Downright Claire_Voyant", given the data that is available to them at this time (-:
Y'know Claire, she's old Mr Voyant's wife.
