PLEASE HELP!!!!!  I am at a loss.  I just got a new trailer(aluminum 3 horse slant gooseneck with 10 foot shortwall) and pulled it for the first time last night..  Controller seems to be working properly and this problem does not happen all the time.  But sometimes when I press the brakes and slow down, my truck(2002 Ford 350 crewcab diesel) seems to start vibrating/shimmying in the front.  The entire sterring wheel vibrates and feels like the problem is coming from the front end.  It does seem to do it more when I hit a bump and am slowing down.  Doesnt do it as much when I am aggresivelly braking.  Truck does not do this by itself, only when it is hooked up to the trailer and stopping.  Have just had tie rods replaced and brake job done where they deglazed brake pads and turned rotors/drums within last month or so. Any insight or suggestions?  Scared me to death last night and now I am afraid to pull trailer and really afraid to even drive truck!!!!!

My truck used to do something similar on the rear end and it turned out that I had a warped rotor.  Replaced the rear rotors and it quit.  Fortunately it was still under 11000 miles and was under warranty.

We had a similar problem with our F-350 and the dealer ended up reprogramming the transmission to help correct our problem.

Someone mentioned installing a shimmy shock to me.  Is anyone familiar with these?
