Hey everyone! I'm new on here and I came here to see what you guys think of this trailer that I'm thinking of buying. It's a '99 aluminum East 46 2H trailer. It's 7'6" tall and 7' wide. It's $5500...do you think that's a reasonable price? This is our first time buying a trailer and I don't know much about pricing them. Anywho, here's the pics:

it depends on what you're using it for. It would be OK if all you wanted to do is haul your horses somewhere to ride. Tack could always go in the back of the truck. I love my gooseneck 2 horse, but not everyone wants to camp/"live" in their trailer. I used a stock trailer for years. This trailer is MUCH nicer than my old stock trailer. Plus you wouldn't need to add a hitch to your truck. IMO It seems a little pricey, but if it will fit your needs, you may want to look and haggle for it.

It seems like a nice trialer for trailering short distance to local shows and what not. I think the hieght is and advantage especially if you have a tall horse. Doesnt appear to have tack area but you can haul that in your truck. I do though agree that it seems a little pricey. Do a search on this web site using 2 horse BP and then sort by price. It seems similiar trailers to the one you pictured are going for mid to upper $3,000 dollar range. Just my 2 cents. Good luck. Let us know what you buy!

The other thing I see is the spare tire leaning inside the front nose of the trailer. If there's no permanant spare tire mount to put the tire you'll get real tired of tossing it in the bed of your truck when you go out with the trailer only to toss it back into the trailer when you get home. I do this with a little utility flatbed trailer and it's a pain. Need to fab a spare mount but is low on the priority list. I agree with the others, nice looking trailer but a little pricey.

I agree with others that that is too much money for what it is (IMHO). I have a '97 Sundowner with under manger storage in better condition than that one that I will be selling for quite a bit less money. If it had a dressing room up front, that would be different but with absolutely no tack or storage area, you will be pulling your hair out. Keep looking - you can get something better and even pay someone to deliver it to you for less money.
