CAn you caulk an aluminum trailer roof leak? Or do you have to weld it or something strange like that. I am negotiating for one with leak in the roof. Thanks for any help.

You will probably get a better response on your queston in the Trailer Talk forum. I have not ever repaired any leaks myself but have heard others using caulk with favorable results.

If you can locate the leak, caulking it will solve your problem. But keep in mind you will have to re caulk periodically due to weather, UV rays are a bummer not only on us but on vehicles, trailer, barns, everything.

You can get Aluminum sealer. You just take a paint brush and paint the roof seams. It only takes about 5 minutes. I got mine at RV supply store. It stopped the roof leaks on my trailer. It was not expensive at all.
