Has anyone installed a battery guage on their LQ battery pack?  I thought about putting a guage under the nose, where my battery is installed.  It seems like it would be a helpful accessory...  Any thoughts?

Eventually we will have a solar panel on the roof to trickle charge the system, but that will probably wait until next year.

Thanks!

Michelle

I use a voltmeter with my solar charging system at our horse camp. It is a very good way to monitor your battery condition. A fully charged battery will indicate around 12.6volts. You can also see if your Tow vehicle is charging the system, around 14.2 volts, also what accesories draw the most from the batteries by the voltage drop when in use. A solor panel will help keep the batteries healthy all year long. Allowing them to discharge while not in use is the worst thing you can do to them. I would put the voltmeter in my living quarters so you can monitor the condition without going outside!

Hey Michelle,

Right now I'm just using my hand held volt meter to monitor my batteries, but the intention is to have a solar system like you. It's all about how much I have at the time. I've left it where I can install one in the future. Vol meter and all, but at the moment other things are taking presidence.

Safe Riding,
Todd
