I stumbled across this review https://horsezz.com/best-horse-riding-helmets-adults/ while was searching for a helmet. I got the Troxel helmet and I'm totally satisfied with it. Sleek shell, thick padding, and the straps are fine. I'd definitely recommend that gear.

The best helmet is the one you will wear every time you're on the horse. Try out a bunch of helmets and decide. Everyone is different when it comes to fit and comfort. No matter how expensive a helmet is, it's not worth a dime if you won't wear it. Conversely, the cheapest certified helmet can be the best if you wear it.
I have a helmet that got destroyed saving my head. It was at a walk and the horse stumbled, I rolled over his neck and landed on a sharp rock like a lawn dart.

hoss puller is 100% correct in that it must be a helmet that you will wear. The other important factor is fit- it must fit your head properly.
I came off a horse in September and ended up with a concussion and brain bleed. I also got a helicopter ride to the nearest trauma center.
A Tipperary helmet saved my life. It was cracked through in 3 separate places. I bought that helmet on sale at Riding Warehouse for $79. It was the best $79 I ever spent.
There are now MIPS helmets that are specifically designed to helmet prevent concussions. They are definitely worth checking out.

I think that it's an average helmet. But thanks God it helped as it should! Sad story

My sister is into horse riding, she usually buys Samshield helmets. Her current one is called Samshield Shadowmatt - not the most expensive one (as far as I remember, it costs less than 500$), but still pretty neat and trustworthy. She usually reads comparative articles and essays online before making the choice, so if anybody needs more info, I can ask her to share her knowledge and/or any useful links.
