I have a 2009 bison 3 horse slant with LQ. The lights for the horse area will not work. I have verified that the 7 way is wired properly. Bulbs are good. The tow unit is a 2016 ram 2500 lariate with tow package. The towing fuses in the fuse box are in place and good. Any suggestions?

We fried our light bulbs in the stock cabin on the third outing with our new Featherlite trailer, a few years back. Only after a trip to the dealership did you realize we missed the first step...so, my question is have you checked the actual bulbs? If you keep blowing out blubs then you need to check into your electrical problems, but ours seemed to be a fluke.

My Trails West has a fuse up by the battery. Its in the battery box, check it. Its the fuse to the lights in the horse area. I can't remember what make it blow. Something to do with dead batteries.

Does your truck supply power to the "aux" circuit when it is not running? Do you have power to this circuit supplied by the truck? One of our trailers had the stall lights supplied by the truck, with the LQ lights supplied by the batteries. This prevented the inadvertent draining to the LQ batteries if the lights were left on. You can test this by supplying power to the "AX" pin ( one o'clock position) when looking at the end of your trailer plug and a ground. A battery charger works well for this test.
